Shawn's Swim School Pty Ltd is excited to announce their After School Swim Classes for Children program, designed specifically for pre-school and school-age children. With classes available for kids aged two and a half years onwards, this program aims to provide a fun and safe environment for children to develop their swimming skills.
Classes are offered from Monday to Friday, starting from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, and also on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Each class lasts for 30 minutes, allowing for focused instruction and practice. With a total of 11 different levels, children can progress from beginners to becoming skilled squad swimmers.
In the beginner classes, which have a maximum of four students, our dedicated teachers are always in the water providing individual instruction. We prioritise each child's individual competency and progress, ensuring that they practice, develop water awareness, and gain confidence during each class. To help children adapt to the pool environment, parents are encouraged to sit at the pool edge until their children familiarise themselves with the surroundings.
Once students can confidently swim freestyle and backstroke correctly for ten meters, they are promoted to the Seals class. Here, they will learn breaststroke and butterfly strokes, as well as swimming in deeper water. As their confidence grows, students will advance to the Dolphins class, where they join the larger twenty-five-meter pool. The program further progresses to the Sharks, Bronze, and Silver levels, focusing on stroke technique and fitness. These advanced classes have a maximum of 6–8 students, ensuring individual attention and progress for each child.
At Shawn's Swim School Pty Ltd, we understand the importance of survival skills in swimming. That's why all children's swim classes incorporate these vital skills, ensuring that children are equipped to handle any situation in the water.
To provide uninterrupted progress, the program only has one six-week break during the year, which aligns with the school Christmas holidays. This ensures continuity and faster progress for the students. Additionally, we offer a fair make-up system, allowing for rescheduling of missed lessons within the next eight weeks with no additional fees. However, please note that late cancellations or no-shows will require full payment for the missed lesson.
We have also made the payment process hassle-free. Payment is done on a pay-as-you-go basis, with no upfront fees or deposits required. To get started, the first swimming lesson for children is absolutely free. All participants must wear swimming caps during the classes, as it is mandatory for everyone's safety.
