African Dancercise

African Dancercise, located in Gerrards Cross, is a vibrant and energetic dance school that offers a unique and exhilarating way to keep fit. The classes are held every Wednesday at 10. 45am during term time at Hornhill Village Hall on Rickmansworth Lane in Chalfont St Peter.

The school believes that there is no better way to exercise than by moving to the sound of live music in a warm and welcoming environment. The classes incorporate traditional choreography from West Africa, creating a fun and effective workout that is accompanied by live African Drumming.

At African Dancercise, each class begins with a thorough warm-up to prepare the body and mind for the movements to come. Participants then dive into learning and mastering a specific dance routine, which is usually the focus for around 6 or 7 weeks. This approach allows students to truly get to know and enjoy the dance, building their confidence and skill in the process.

To ensure a well-rounded experience, each class ends with a cool down and stretching session, leaving participants feeling energised and accomplished. The supportive and friendly atmosphere cultivated by the instructors and fellow dancers ensures that everyone leaves the class with big smiles on their faces.
