Aerial Artists Adelaide is a leading sports club located in Adelaide, South Australia. Established in 2013, the club is dedicated to coaching and promoting all aspects of gymnastics and circus arts. Led by a team of experienced coaches, Aerial Artists Adelaide offers a range of training programmes and classes for individuals of all ages and skill levels.
Head coach Craig Hryhorec has a rich background in both coaching and performing. With years of experience in South Australia and Queensland, Craig has represented both his state and country at national and international levels. His passion for acrobatics and aerial arts has taken him around the world, delighting audiences in Australia, USA, UK, Singapore, UAE, Japan, The Caribbean, and The Baltics. His expertise includes Aerial Silks, Aerial Straps, Bungees, Fast Track, Chinese Poles, and Aerial Cable.
Peri Kowal, a member of Aerial Artists Adelaide since its inception, is a dedicated aerial artist and coach. Training in senior aerial groups, she is also a prominent performer in the club's professional production, Le Aerial. Peri's commitment and knowledge in teaching aerial arts have made her an invaluable resource for students looking to achieve new manoeuvres and drops. Outside of coaching, Peri enjoys playing the harp, travelling, and spending quality time with her baby girl.
Jamie-Lee Hicks serves as Aerial Artists Adelaide's Aerial Lyra Coach. Like Peri, she has been a member of the club since its early days and is actively involved in training and performing in senior aerial silk groups. With a background in design and styling, Jamie-Lee brings a creative touch to her work as an aerial artist. She also enjoys training on various aerial equipment and has a particular fondness for her duo Lyra act.
In her free time, Jamie-Lee indulges in painting, reading, and riding her motorcycle.
Nadine Hutchison, who joined Aerial Artists Adelaide in 2015, is a dedicated coach for both adult and junior aerialists. She specialises in aerial silks and lyra and is passionate about helping her students develop strength and grace in their performances. Nadine is also an active practitioner, training in senior aerial groups and participating in various Aerial Artist Adelaide showcases. Outside aerial arts, Nadine is pursuing a Clinical Psychology PhD and enjoys travelling and spending time with her loved ones, including her furry friends.
Olivia Baker, a former gymnast, found her passion in aerial arts when she joined Aerial Artists Adelaide in 2016. Currently coaching junior aerialists in aerial silks, Olivia is dedicated to helping young individuals learn new skills and build their confidence. She has also expanded her own repertoire, training in advanced silks groups and beginner straps. Alongside her aerial pursuits, Olivia is studying Occupational Therapy at Flinders University and works at an Out of School Hours Care and Vacation programme.
