Circuit Based Training, the Auto Racing club in Leicester, is excited to announce the Advanced Cornering Course, a full-day training program designed to enhance riders' skills and confidence in cornering. This thrilling event will take place at one of the top racing circuits in the UK, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all participants.
With a maximum of 12 riders per course, safety is our top priority. Each participant will receive individual attention and guidance from our experienced instructors as they work towards perfecting their cornering technique and hazard avoidance skills. Our course is perfect for riders who are eager to take their cornering abilities to the next level.
The day kicks off with a comprehensive classroom briefing, where riders will delve into the art of cornering. Topics covered will include counter steering, pivot steering, lean angles, zones of vision, and more. Armed with this knowledge, participants will then hit the circuit under the watchful eye of our skilled instructors.
Throughout the day, riders will face a variety of challenges, from faster corners to tricky left/right combinations. However, our instructors will be there every step of the way, offering personalised guidance to help participants overcome any difficulties they may encounter. We also focus on braking techniques to ensure that riders feel just as confident on their brakes as they do on their throttle.
Safety is key during our training, which is why participants will have the opportunity to learn emergency stops at high speeds. This exercise not only improves depth perception and reaction time when approaching bends, but it also enhances overall safety on the track. To aid in the learning process, we incorporate video footage from multiple angles, allowing riders to review and analyze their performance.
At Circuit Based Training, we value safety, track time, and enjoyment. To ensure a pleasant experience for all, riders must have a road legal exhaust system with baffles and adhere to an 85dB noise limit. The course wraps up at 4.30pm, giving participants ample time to practice and refine their newly acquired skills.
