Always wanted to learn ballroom and latin? Then why not book onto Aspire Dancesport's adult dance courses. These courses are usually taught in short courses of 5 to 7 weeks, so there is no long term commitment. The classes are taught in a friendly and relaxed environment, allowing dancers to remain relaxed and get the most out of each course. Aspire Dancesport accepts dancers without a partner. If you come solo, the teacher or an assistant will come around and partner you with someone without a partner. Sometimes, there is another person who also comes without a partner, and you can choose to partner up. Once the term has commenced for each course, dancers can still join by simply booking the course as an individual 2-week lesson.
Aspire Dancesport's foundations class is aimed at those who have not danced ballroom and latin before or those who have some prior knowledge but need to brush up on the basics. This class is suitable for dancers who already have a knowledge of the basics and can get around the floor with simple amalgamations and are now looking to learn a few more figures. For those who are already confident at dancing ballroom and latin and are looking to learn more advanced figures and groups, Aspire Dancesport's advanced class is the perfect fit.
All of Aspire Dancesport's classes have a strong focus on correct technique as this is the foundation to being a wonderful dancer.
Spring term 1 includes Foxtrot, Jive, Viennese Waltz (Advance) and Social foxtrot (intermediates/Foundations). It is a 6-week term priced at £43.50 per person. Alternatively, dancers can book for just 2 weeks (one dance) if they prefer.
The classes take place at Great Abington Primary School in Abington, Cambridge. The term starts on Monday 8th January and ends on Monday 12th February (6 weeks). The Improvers class takes place on Thursdays, the Intermediate class takes place on Tuesdays, and the Foundations class takes place on Mondays. Dancers can book their place now!
Spring term 2 includes Paso Doble (1 week), Waltz, Cha cha cha (2 weeks on each dance except paso doble). It is a 5-week term priced at £36.25 per person for the full course. Alternatively, dancers can book just for 2 weeks (one dance) if they prefer. The booking for this term opens two weeks before the start dates.
The classes also take place at Great Abington Primary School in Abington, Cambridge. The term starts on Monday 26th February and ends on Monday 25th March (5 weeks). The Improvers class takes place on Thursdays, the Intermediate class takes place on Tuesdays, and the Foundations class takes place on Mondays. Dancers can book their place now!
