Everyday life. Aikido teaches practitioners how to handle conflict and adversity with grace and composure, both on and off the mat. It cultivates discipline, focus, and self-control, leading to personal growth and self-improvement.
At Adelaide Takemusu Aikido Club, we are dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for practitioners of all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced martial artist, our experienced instructors will guide you through the intricacies of Aikido technique and philosophy.
Our classes are structured to cater to the needs of different age groups. We have classes specifically designed for adults, children, and youth throughout the entire year. This allows families to train together and individuals to find a suitable class that suits their schedule. The detailed class times and locations can be found on our website.
The Adelaide Takemusu Aikido Club is a member dojo of the Australian Takemusu Aikido Renmei Inc, which ensures that we adhere to the highest standards of training and instruction. Our club follows the traditional style of Aikido as perpetuated by Ulf Evens Shihan, which includes the study of techniques in taijutsu, bokken, and jo.
One unique aspect of our club is our involvement in the Pink Belt Project. As a proud sponsor, we provide women in need, particularly those healing from trauma, with a one-year scholarship to train for free at our club. We believe that Aikido can empower and inspire individuals, and we are committed to making a positive difference in our community.
Whether you are looking to learn self-defence, improve your physical and mental well-being, or embark on a journey of personal development, Adelaide Takemusu Aikido Club offers a supportive and nurturing environment for you to explore the art of Aikido. We encourage you to come and try a class or two, and experience the joy and benefits that Aikido has to offer. You can contact our Head Instructor, Peter Noble, for more information or simply show up for practise.
Adelaide Takemusu Aikido Club Incorporated is a not-for-profit association, proudly run by dedicated individuals who are passionate about the art of Aikido.
