Acrobatica Dance & Acrobatics, located in Bundaberg West, is a dynamic dance and drama school offering a wide range of classes for students aged 3 years and above. While their speciality lies in acrobatics, they also provide training in tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. Acrobatica Dance & Acrobatics prides itself on providing a safe and nurturing family environment, aiming to inspire children to reach their full potential. They have a highly qualified and dedicated teaching team who possess a wealth of experience and expertise in their respective fields. The 2024 teaching team includes Fiona Payne, who holds a Cert IV in Dance Teaching & Management and a CSTD Theatrical certification, Lisa Bristow, who has completed both Module 1 and Module 2 of the Acrobatic Arts programme, Tracey Shears, B Dr Anushka Santos, and Lucy Dennien, who holds a Cert II in Sport & Recreation and Cert III in Fitness.
Term dates for 2024 are as follows: Term 1 runs from Monday, 22nd January to Thursday, 28th March. Term 2 begins on Monday, 15th April and ends on Friday, 21st June. Term 3 commences on Monday, 8th July and concludes on Friday, 13th September. Please note that no new enrolments are accepted during Term 2 or Term 3 due to concert preparations.
Term 4 starts on Monday, 30th September, with the last classes taking place on Saturday, 7th December. The school operates on student-free days and does not hold classes on public holidays.
Throughout the year, Acrobatica Dance & Acrobatics organises an annual concert to showcase the students' skills and provide them with an opportunity to perform on stage. The concert dates for 2023 include a stage rehearsal on Saturday, 19th October, a full dress rehearsal on Sunday, 20th October, and the main concerts on Saturday, 26th October.
Enrolment at Acrobatica Dance & Acrobatics requires a non-refundable administration/enrolment fee of $46. 20 (incl. GST) per student, with an additional $23. 10 (incl.
GST) for each family member. This fee is payable upon enrolment and covers the administrative costs. The school follows a strict policy regarding enrolment, respecting other local dance studios and requesting students to remain loyal to the chosen studio. Parental involvement is encouraged but restricted during classes to minimise distractions for the students.
The school also emphasises the importance of maintaining hydration and requests that all students bring a water bottle to every lesson. Fees are invoiced at the beginning of each term, with a 30-day payment window. Unpaid fees will result in exclusion from classes until payment is made. Missed lessons are still payable, and students leaving classes midterm will be charged the full amount for the term.
A refund for missed lessons is only issued with a valid doctor's certificate for three or more consecutive weeks.
