Welcome to Ace Studios, a warm and friendly dance and performing arts school in Southport. With a legacy of 50 years, Ace Studios continues to nurture and inspire students of all ages and abilities. Originally known as Loreto Bamber Dance School, the studios were taken over and rebranded as Ace Studios following the retirement of Miss Bamber.

Located at Castle Street Studios, Ace Studios offers a wide range of classes and courses for beginners to advanced level students. Whether you're interested in acro dance, ballet, contemporary, commercial/jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, or tap, there's something for everyone. The school also provides vocational training, specialised classes, festival work, and preparation for university and conservatoire programmes.

At Ace Studios, we believe in fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. Our goal is not only to teach dance and performing arts but also to develop transferable life skills and build confidence. In addition to regular classes, we run various projects and inclusive home education courses that allow children and young people to participate in a variety of activities.

For those who are committed to their dance journey, Ace Studios has a performance and competitive dance programme. Students who attend a minimum of three classes per week may be invited to join the dance company team. Our teams specialise in musical theatre and contemporary/jazz/lyrical genres and participate in events and local competitions throughout the year. We prioritise collaboration, sportsmanship, and dedication, as we believe that a successful team requires full commitment from all members.

Every student at Ace Studios has the opportunity to showcase their talents in the annual showcase at the Southport Little Theatre. Whether you aspire to have a career in dance or simply want to have fun and learn something new, Ace Studios has something to offer. Our professional teachers are RAD, ISTD, and NATD qualified and have enhanced DBS checks to ensure the highest standard of instruction and safety.
