Just passing on a note from Lisa, our go-to organiser for all things sports. She's got some great stuff lined up at Aceshigh Paintball in Kairanga, and we want to make sure you’re in the loop.
Aceshigh Paintball, based right here in New Zealand, is perfect for a bit of excitement and friendly competition. Lisa’s made sure it’s all about having fun while staying safe, so it’s a great spot for everyone, no matter your age or skill level.
For those over 13, Lisa says there’s standard paintball on offer. It’s a good mix of strategy, teamwork, and pure fun. You’ll be split into teams, working together to achieve goals using Emek 100 semi-automatic markers. Safety’s covered too, with all the gear and rules you need. Each player gets 200 paintballs, a safety mask, and up to 90 minutes of game time. You can grab extra paintballs if you’re keen, and there’s room for groups of 8 to 25.
For the younger ones, over 7 years old, there’s low-impact paintball. Lisa sorted it so it’s gentler but still heaps of fun. They'll use JT Splatmaster markers and get 50 paintballs each, a safety mask, and 45 minutes of game time. Groups can be smaller, from 6 to 20 players.
Aceshigh Paintball is easy to find at 263 Flygers Line in Palmerston North. If you need to get in touch, just shoot them an email or message them on Facebook. Lisa also set up social games on Sundays from 1pm to around 5pm for anyone over 13 who wants to join in. It’s a great chance to play some competitive paintball in a laid-back, friendly setting. Costs are kept low, with options to buy paintballs in bulk and free gear hire if needed.
To book a session, just fill out the online form and put down a deposit. You can pay the rest on the day using EFTPOS or cash.
Aceshigh Paintball has a few different fields to play on. There’s the “wheel field” with big wire wheels and the “hut field” with lots of bunkers and barricades, so there’s always a new challenge waiting.
