Aquarius Swim School, based at Centre AT7 in Coventry, is excited to announce their upcoming Accelerated Swimming Lessons during the Half Term break. Whether you're a current customer or new to Aquarius Swim School, these lessons are designed for swimmers of all levels and ages.
To book your spot in these highly sought-after courses, you have two convenient options. You can either visit the centre in person or give them a call starting from Monday 15th January. The swimming holiday timetable is also available for those who wish to plan their swimming sessions during the break.
The Accelerated Crash Courses and Workshops will be held at both Centre AT7 and The Alan Higgs Centre, ensuring that swimmers from all areas can conveniently attend. The Crash Courses focus on different stages of swimming development, including Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3. These courses are ideal for beginners who want to gain confidence and learn the basics of swimming, such as stroke techniques, floating, and jumping in.
For those who are already proficient in swimming, the Workshops are perfect for refining specific strokes like Breaststroke, Frontcrawl, and Backstroke. These workshops cater to both beginners and improvers, allowing each swimmer to enhance their skills in a focused and friendly environment.
If you're unsure about which stage your child should start in, the Aquarius Swim School offers a helpful questionnaire to guide you in the right direction. They want to ensure that every swimmer is placed in the appropriate stage that suits their abilities and goals.
Additionally, Aquarius Swim School understands the importance of starting swimming lessons early. They offer a fun Ducklings class for children aged 2½ to 4. This class aims to build water confidence and motor skills, creating a solid foundation for future swimming development.
So, here's a breakdown of the different stages offered at Aquarius Swim School. Stage 1 is designed for children aged 4 and older who have no water confidence or prior swimming experience. Stage 2 is for children aged 4 and older who already have some confidence in the water and want to learn basic stroke techniques, floating, and jumping in. Stage 3 focuses on further developing front and back swimming techniques, safe entries, submersion, and rotation skills.
As swimmers progress, they move on to Stage 4a, where they learn to swim unaided for 10 meters on both the front and back in shallow water. This stage also introduces all four stroke techniques. After mastering these skills, swimmers move on to Stage 4b, which takes place in deeper water. This stage focuses on maintaining correct technique over longer distances.
