Throughout the year, Alex and the crew participate in events like the Swansea Spartan, Welsh Dragon, and the popular Varsity against Bangor Uni. These aren't just great for racing but also for socialising with sailors from other universities across the UK.
Off the water, every Wednesday, Alex organises socials where members can enjoy themed or casual get-togethers. It's a great way to relax and get to know the town. Exciting trips and competitions are a big part of the club's calendar. The bi-annual trip to Bala in Snowdonia National Park is a highlight, with camping, sailing on Wales' largest lake, pub visits, and cosy barbecues. Alex also arranges yacht sailing trips, providing a thrilling experience.
Sustainability is a priority for Alex and the club. They actively participate in the Green Blue University Sailing Challenge, promoting eco-friendly practices in the sport.
