Welcome to ABC Basketball House League, a thriving basketball community in Aurora dedicated to fostering a love for the game and developing fundamental skills in players of all ages. Formerly known as Gino's Basketball, the club is led by Head Coach & Lead Instructor, Gino Cundari, who has been running basketball camps in Aurora, Newmarket, and Richmond Hill since 1997. With a degree in Physical Health & Education from the University of Toronto, Gino is a certified basketball official and brings a wealth of coaching experience to the program.
Joining Gino is Head Coach & Lead Instructor, Matthew Cundari, who has been an integral part of the program since 2001. With a degree in History from York University and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University, Matthew's passion for teaching and coaching basketball is evident in his work with players at various levels, including rep and high school teams. The father-son duo shares a commitment to instilling strong fundamentals and a love for the game in every athlete they coach.
At ABC Basketball House League, players participate in weekly team warm-ups, learn the essential skills of the game, and compete in round-robin games to put their skills to the test. What sets the club apart is the hands-on approach of the coaches, who also serve as referees during games, allowing for real-time feedback and learning opportunities on the court. In addition to the house league, ABC Basketball offers small group development training on Wednesday nights at GW Williams in the fall, led by elite coaches dedicated to honing players' skills.
