Paul Sexton, is a highly qualified sixth-degree black belt in Japanese karate and a third-degree black belt in Kobudo with a teaching license directly from Okinawa. With over 40 years of experience in martial arts, Paul has dedicated his life to teaching traditional Shotokan karate, Jiu Jitsu, and Kobudo at Abbotsford Karate Club.

Established in 1972, Abbotsford Karate Club Sekukan is a renowned martial arts school in Abbotsford that focuses on helping students of all ages develop strong bodies and strong minds. The club emphasizes fitness, realistic self-defence techniques, and character development in a positive and supportive environment.

The club offers continuous enrolment from October to May, allowing new students to join at any time. The rates are reasonable, and there is a family discount available for those who wish to train together. With a focus on competition, students have the opportunity to participate in tournaments and showcase their skills.

In addition to traditional karate classes, Abbotsford Karate Club also offers training in Jiu Jitsu and Kobudo (Okinawan weapons). The club is certified by the Gima-Ha International Karatedo Federation, as well as recognized by Karate BC and Karate Canada.

Training takes place at Godson Elementary School in Abbotsford on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with classes available for both beginners and advanced students.
