One of the highlights of Yarra Ranges Athletics is the Coles Round, where athletes are encouraged to dress up in red clothing. The 10 best dressed athletes will win a $10 Coles Voucher, as Coles is a major sponsor of Little Athletics Australia. Additionally, the club provides free bananas every week and has received grants to purchase essential equipment to support the athletes.
The club's competition schedule is well-structured, with specific start times for different age groups. U12-U17 athletes begin their walks at 8am, followed by the 400m race at 8:30am. U10-U11 athletes start their walks at 8:30am, and all other athletes are expected to arrive on time for competition at 9am. The club also observes a minute of silence at 11am for Remembrance Day.
