Yaralla Senior Football Club is a friendly and welcoming club that aims to continue its recent growth. The club was founded in 1973 under the name Wapentake and has also played under the name Queensland Alumina Sports Club (QASC). Our current name is taken from our parent organisation, Yaralla Sports Club, of which we are a sub-club. As a result of this relationship we are able to provide members with benefits and facilities that are the envy of many others clubs in Central Queensland.
Over the last two years Yaralla Senior Football Club has grown from two teams and 36 members to four teams and 80 members. In 2010 Yaralla Senior Football Club had a team in the Capricorn League, the Gladstone 1st Division, Gladstone 2nd Division and a ladies team. Yaralla Junior Football Club fielded teams in every division in 2010 with 17 teams and 166 registered players. In 2011 Yaralla finished as Gladstone Football League 1st Divison Minor premiership, on our way to winning in the Grand Final.
Yaralla's home ground at Yaralla Sports Club features a full-size senior field, as well as a smaller junior field. Competition specification floodlights are in place allowing the club to host night fixtures. A canteen is in operation for every home game with male and female toilets provided. A small amount of seating is available to spectators, and we welcome all supporters – new and old!
Entry for senior home games is $4 for adults and $2 for concessions.
