Woodward Tennis Academy is a sports club located in the Hurstville area of Sydney, New South Wales. As a leading tennis coaching facility, we offer high-quality professional tennis coaching for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or an advanced player seeking to enhance your skills, our academy has a programme to suit your needs.

Our founder and head coach, James Woodward, is a highly experienced Tennis Australia Club Professional Coach and a Tennis Coaches Australia Advanced Coach. With a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, James brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our coaching sessions. Having coached all levels of players, from beginners to A1 players, for over 22 years, he ensures that all clients receive top-notch instruction.

At Woodward Tennis Academy, we prioritise fun and enjoyment while focusing on skill development. Our tennis programme covers all aspects of the game, including instruction on various strokes, drills, hand-eye coordination, and game strategies. Each participant receives personalised attention in a safe and supportive learning environment.

We offer both group and private coaching lessons. Group lessons run for one hour and cost $17 per hour per student. Group lessons are paid for by the term, with a 10-week term costing $170. These sessions are available from Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 10 pm, and on Saturdays from 7 am to 7 pm.

They are suitable for all levels of players, from beginners to advanced and competition level.

Private lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student and can be scheduled from Monday to Saturday. Lesson durations vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the age and ability of the student. Prices for private lessons are $36 for 30 minutes, $54 for 45 minutes, and $72 for 1 hour.

In addition to coaching, we also offer court hire at Woodward Tennis Academy. Our synthetic grass court is available for hire from Monday to Sunday, 8 am to 10:30 pm. The rate for court hire is $20 per hour.
