Westside was established in 1964 and was first known as ‘Budapest Grovely’. The club’s colours (red, green, and white) are based on the Hungarian national flag.
The club grew from strength to strength and a number of years later officially changed it’s name to Westside Sports Club as the emphasis changed from being an ethnic club to a club that provided sporting opportunites for the whole community. The club’s main focus is now Football (soccer). At the Annual General Meeting on the 16th November 2009 the club name was changed to Westside Football Club.
