Western Warriors Martial Arts Club is a martial arts club located in Western Sydney, specifically in Mount Druitt. The club offers classes in Ju Jutsu and Judo, two martial arts that focus on self-defence and the use of an aggressor's energy against them.
Ju Jutsu, meaning Gentle Art, is a martial art method based on traditional styles of Jiu Jitsu that originated and developed in mediaeval Japan. The core of this art comprises a system of throws, joint locks, and strikes, both with and without weapons. Judo, meaning Gentle Way, is a martial art and method of self-defence that does not allow dangerous throws and blows. Instead, it emphasises the athletic and sport elements of martial arts.
Both Ju Jutsu and Judo teach individuals, regardless of age or gender, how to counter aggressive situations, ranging from harassment to physical assault.
Western Warriors Martial Arts Club believes in fostering self-discipline, boosting socialisation skills, encouraging physical activity, and helping individuals set and achieve goals. Classes at Western Warriors Martial Arts Club are open to individuals aged 5 and up, regardless of their level of physical fitness or abilities. The club welcomes beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
Recently, the club has moved its classes to Mount Druitt PCYC, located at 453A Luxford Road, Shalvey, NSW 2770. The new class schedule is as follows: Judo is held on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, and Jitsu is held on Thursday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
