Western Districts Angling & Game Fishing Club, located in Adelaide, South Australia, is a fantastic sports club that provides endless fun and adventure for all fishing enthusiasts. In addition to offering thrilling fishing outings, the club also values the environment and actively works towards its preservation. During a recent two-day October outing, the club made a significant contribution to the environment by reducing the carp population in Lake Bonney by half a tonne. The first day of the outing featured a light line competition where participants were required to land their fish unassisted using a line with a maximum breaking strain of 2. 5 kg.

The best junior angler, Ronan, caught an impressive carp during this competition. The second day involved a more traditional competition, with Chris emerging as the overall winner with a bag weighing 64 kg, and Barry catching the largest carp weighing 4. 75 kg.
