WestVic Hockey is a sports club located in Ballarat, Australia. Established in 2005, it is a representative programme that offers players from the western Victoria region the opportunity to compete in Hockey Victoria competitions. The club field teams in both senior and junior divisions.
The senior Men's and Women's teams at WestVic Hockey play in the Vic League 2/1 competitions. The U16 Boys and Girls teams participate in Shield or Pennant level competitions. Additionally, there is a development programme available for U14 Boys and Girls.
The U16 Boys team trains on Monday evenings at the Ballarat Hockey Centre and competes in the Mixed Under 16 NW-Conference Shield Competition, with matches played on Friday nights in Ballarat and Melbourne.
Similarly, the U16 Girls team trains on Monday evenings and participates in the Girls Under 16 Shield or Pennant Competition.
The Senior Men's team trains on Monday and Thursday evenings at the Ballarat Hockey Centre. They compete in the Men's Vic League 2 and Vic League 2 Reserves Competitions, with matches played on Saturdays or Sundays in Ballarat and Melbourne.
The Senior Women's team also trains on Monday and Thursday evenings and currently competes in the Women's Vic League 1 and Vic League 1 Reserves Competitions. Their matches are scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays in Ballarat and Melbourne.
WestVic Hockey also has a Women's 35+ team that competes in the Women's 35+ Summer Social Competition. These matches take place on Wednesday nights in Melbourne.
The club prides itself on providing a high level of hockey competition for players in the western Victoria region. WestVic Hockey has a strong sense of community and fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals of all skill levels.
