
The West Australian Pistol Association - Wongan is a sports club located in the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu, Western Australia. With a history dating back to 1959, the club has been dedicated to the sport of target pistol shooting for over 60 years.
As a member of the national body Pistol Australia (PA), the West Australian Pistol Association provides its members with access to 16 graded events designed to cater to shooters of all levels, including categories for athletes with disabilities. This affiliation also allows members the opportunity to compete in international competitions and potentially represent Australia in the Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.
The club prides itself on promoting a safe and challenging environment for pistol shooting. Coaching and officiating training are available to all members at no cost, ensuring that individuals have the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge of the sport.
With over 30 affiliated clubs throughout the state, the West Australian Pistol Association serves as the governing body for pistol shooting in Western Australia. The association is led by an elected volunteer committee who oversee the day-to-day operations of the sport.
