The West Australian Pistol Association- Kalgoorlie Boulder is a sports club located in Kalgoorlie – Boulder, Western Australia. Established in 1959, the club has been actively involved in target pistol shooting in the state for over six decades.
The club is affiliated with the national body Pistol Australia (PA), making it the top target pistol shooting association in Australia. This affiliation allows club members to participate in a wide range of events and competitions, including Club Championships, State Championships, National Championships, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and even the Olympic Games.
With direct access to 16 graded events, the West Australian Pistol Association caters to shooters of all experience levels. They also provide categories for athletes with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity within the sport. Members have the opportunity to compete in international competitions, as well as the chance to be selected for prestigious events like the Commonwealth and Olympic Games.
Coaching and officiating training are available to all members at no cost, allowing individuals to improve their skills and contribute to the growth of the sport.
The West Australian Pistol Association is proud to lead and support over 30 pistol clubs throughout the state. The association is governed by an elected volunteer committee who manage the day-to-day operations of the sport. The club is also sponsored by the Department of Sport and Recreation, further demonstrating their commitment to developing and promoting pistol shooting in Western Australia.
