Wellington Basketball Association provides teams for both junior and senior members to compete within the local Hobart competitions.
Juniors compete in the Basketball Hobart Juniors rosters. These roster run between March and August each year. Wellington also compete in auxillary competitions like local Spring rosters and various other smaller competitions. Junior players are provided with a clear pathway to compete within Wellington teams at a senior level.
Seniors compete in the Southern Basketball League, the competition regarded as the premier competition in Southern Tasmania. Division 1 and Divison 2 teams compete in both male and female rosters. As with the juniors, various Wellington teams from time to time may compete in other local social rosters.
Wellington Senior teams provide a clear pathway goal for those juniors who would like to continue on after their junior years. Wellington Senior sides play SBL matches at New Norfolk each year yo keep the partnership firm and exciting.
