Waverley College Swim School

Waverley College Swim School is a sports club located in Sydney, Australia. Situated within the Waverley College Aquatic Centre, the Swim School offers comprehensive swim programmes for all age ranges, starting from kindergarten children and extending to adults. The Aquatic Centre is open to the whole community to enjoy.

The Swim School operates throughout the summer months, from the start of Term 4 to the end of Term 1. Parents and carers are allowed on the school campus during Swim School, with parking available in the school car parks from 3:20 pm. It is important to note that if a child or parent/carer is unwell, they should not attend the Swim School.

Enrolments for Term 4 2023 are currently open, and interested individuals can book their spots now. The Swim School offers three levels of swimming instruction, with a focus on stroke technique and fitness. All swimmers must be able to swim unassisted.

1. Tadpoles: This is a 30-minute lesson for children who are developing technique in all strokes. Students in this level must be able to swim 25m freestyle and backstroke as they prepare for the Mini Squad.

2. Mini Squad: This level consists of 45-minute lessons for swimmers who display proficiency in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke. They should also be capable of demonstrating basic drills and have sufficient technique and endurance to swim for 45 minutes. Swimmers in the Mini Squad will also start to learn butterfly.

3. Junior Squad: Designed for swimmers wishing to improve their technique and endurance, the Junior Squad offers 45-minute lessons for individuals who can swim for at least 45 minutes and display proficiency in all strokes.

Term 4 2023 sessions for each level have specific time slots and days of the week. The cost of enrolment varies depending on the number of days per week, with options available for 1, 2, or 3 days per week.
