The Waubra Football & Netball Club is a prominent sports club located in Ballarat City, Victoria. It is affiliated with the Central Highlands Football League and is widely known as the Waubra Football Club.
In 2018, the club experienced a successful season, meeting and even exceeding its set goals. Under the leadership of Matthew James as the senior coach and with support from Paul Kennedy and Peter James, the club achieved the title of minor leadings in the season. The reserve grade also made it to the Preliminary Finals, showcasing the determination and talent of the entire club.
As the club looks ahead to the 2019 season, it welcomes new recruits and the return of dual Waubra leadingship player, John Coleman. The addition of these players, along with a strong preseason and excellent coaching appointments for the netball teams, boosts the club's confidence in fielding competitive teams in all grades. The club is determined to bring home some well-deserved trophies and aims to make the 2019 season one to remember.
The junior programme at the Waubra Football & Netball Club remains strong, with dedicated volunteers working tirelessly to field teams in all age levels. Despite the challenges faced each year, the junior committee consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the success and growth of the junior programme.
