Warringah Triathlon Club is a sports club located in Sydney, Australia, and is dedicated to promoting multisport activities for individuals of all ages and abilities. The club strives to assist its members in achieving their personal goals by providing a supportive community, professional coaching, quality races, and maintaining its position as the number one club in NSW.
The club hosts a variety of triathlon and duathlon races, offering picturesque views and minimal traffic at the idyllic North Head, which is part of the Sydney Harbour National Park. Participants can expect flat and fast bike and run courses, as well as timing chips, course marshals, raffle prizes, and refreshments included in their race fee.
In addition to its race events, Warringah Triathlon Club also collaborates with the Manly Warringah Cycle Club to organise time trial events at West Head. These time trials provide athletes with an opportunity to test their skills in a different format.
The Northern Beaches Triathlon Race Series, hosted by Warringah Triathlon Club, is a highlight of the club's calendar. This series consists of a sprint and super sprint (enticer) race, welcoming athletes of all levels of ability, whether they are Triathlon Australia (TA) members or not. The club actively supports junior athletes by offering free racing for WTC juniors (12–16 years old) and a reduced entry fee of $9. 95 for other junior participants.
The upcoming 2023/24 race season features a duathlon in October and six triathlons between November and April, with a women's only race in March. These events provide both seasoned racers and newcomers to triathlon with a friendly and supportive environment to develop and hone their skills.
Warringah Triathlon Club offers a discounted series entry fee of $249. 95 for its full financial members, who are also required to volunteer at one of the races throughout the season. Registration and transition for the races will be located in the North Fort area, and the cycle course has been recently resurfaced on North Scenic Drive. The run course has also been improved, incorporating the stunning views from the Fairfax track overlooking the harbour.
All race registrations are done online, and the registration portal closes on the Friday evening at 5pm, two days before each race for proper preparation of the timing system. Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot.
Warringah Triathlon Club is committed to providing a vibrant and inclusive community for triathlon enthusiasts, offering opportunities for personal growth, accomplishments, and connexions with like-minded individuals.
