Physie is an exercise dance class that fuses dance styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, aerobic dance and even yoga. With age appropriate choreography and a modern pop soundtrack, Physie caters to girls and ladies from 3 to 83 and beyond. Physie improves core strength, body posture, flexibility and overall fitness, through positions based dance and musical awareness.
No dance experience is required, as our syllabus is learned week by week and Beginners are more than welcome.
Warner Lakes Physie Club was established in 2011, by our Head Associate Teacher Kim-Marie Jecht and is BJP (Bjelke-Peterson School of Physical Culture) affiliated Club. Kim-Marie comes with over 40 years experience in Physie. She has a Bachelor of Education Degree, has worked across all forms of education from Early Childcare to Secondary Education for over 20 years and is also a BJP Level 3 Accredited Associate Teacher.
Our second Associate Teacher, Nicole Hughes, has been a Physie Mum of 3 daughters for more than 10 years and also competes as an Open Ladies herself. Nicole and her husband, run their own Mechanical workshop and Nicole has been affiliated with the scouting movement for many years. Nicole helps assist in all age groups and specialises in stretching, positions and technique with our junior classes.
Warner Lakes Physie is a family friendly club, with members ranging from 3 Years through to Ladies. No dance experience or fitness level is required and there are no costly uniforms or dance shoes. We hold classes at Pendicup Community Centre on Monday afternoons. Beginners are always welcome.
