The Warehouse Cricket Association of Qld (WCAQ) was officially formed in 1921 to provide a cricket competition for employees of various Brisbane commercial business houses: the Warehouuses. (The Couier Mail of 5th October 1894 records a similar association existed, probably up to World War 1. Incorporating a mix of established multiple and single team cricket clubs, Warehouse Cricket now administers competitions that provide opportunities for players of all skill levels. Warehouse Cricket fixtures are played on turf and artificial wickets around the Greater Brisbane Area.
Currently Warehouse Cricket has approximately 340 teams playing on Saturdays or Sundays during both the Summer and Winter seasons.
