The Wagga Wagga Tennis Association, established in 1896, is a prominent sports club located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. The club is currently undergoing a redevelopment and the Jim Elphick Tennis Centre, named after the late Jim Elphick, a key figure in promoting tennis in the area, will remain closed until approximately January 2025.
The $5 million upgrade to the Jim Elphick Tennis Centre, completed in July 2022, has put Wagga Wagga on the map for national tennis events. The redevelopment is a joint effort between the Wagga City Council and aims to enhance the facilities and create a state-of-the-art complex for tennis enthusiasts.
Membership packages are available for individuals interested in joining the Wagga Wagga Tennis Association. However, please note that due to the ongoing redevelopment, the club will be closed for 12–18 months starting from May 2023. The Wagga City Council anticipates completing the redevelopment around October-November 2024.
The club's main entrance is located on Morgan Street in the Wagga CBD, near Bolton Park and the main carpark near Robertson Oval. Detailed directions can be found on the club's website.
