About
The Wagga Wagga Kangaroos Junior Rugby League Football Club is proud to be of the original Junior Rugby League clubs of Wagga Wagga.
It all started in 1959 when Junior Rugby League began and the Panthers and Midget teams were formed, to cater to the need for young boys to play sport. In 1964, the Panthers team became so strong in numbers that they decided to form a club.
In 1964 the Wagga Kangaroos Senior Rugby League Club took the Panthers under their wing and the “Kangaroo Panthers” evolved. On December 13th 1999, The Kangaroo Panthers executive decide that it was time to make a change to the name of the club, and since that time have been named Wagga Wagga Kangaroos Junior Rugby League Club Inc.
Our club continues to have strong ties with the Wagga Kangaroos Seniors, who have previously won numerous Group 9 leadingship titles with the most recent being 2009 and back to back titles in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Our club has been instrumental in providing the senior club with a large amount of quality players and lists several juniors in the current line up.
