Wado Ryu is one of the original 4 styles of Karate started by Sensei OTSUKA in Tokyo, Japan. Wado Ryu is a mixture of Karate and Jujutsu making it a fast and graceful martial art.
Although the training is traditional based, there is a competitive stream where students compete in tournaments testing their skills against the other karate styles.
Self-defence is a major part of our training with the fusion of Jujutsu and Karate allowing for students to learn strikes, throws and wrist locks and arm bars.
All instructors (Black belts) are qualified and accredited level 1 coaches through the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), they all hold Working with Children checks and provide all students with safe but fun training environment.
Our Black belts are of an international standard having been graded by the Wado Ryu hierarchy from Japan.
