Upright Care is a boutique sports club located in the heart of Bondi Junction, Sydney. It specialises in back, neck, sports, and posture physiotherapy. The team at Upright Care is dedicated to providing diagnosis, therapy, and management of back and neck pain, as well as prevention of postural dysfunction using non-surgical and non-invasive technologies and exercise programmes.
One of the highlights of Upright Care is that it owns Australia's first and only Formetric machine, which uses light instead of radiation and x-rays to analyse the spine and posture. This unique machine creates a 3D reconstruction of the spine, providing comprehensive information for measuring spine curves, rotation, and diagnosing spinal deformities. The Formetric scanner is also used in bone density, osteopenia, and osteoporosis management programmes.
In addition to physiotherapy, Upright Care offers a variety of classes to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility. These classes, including Posture & Movement and Gentle Movement and Stretch, are all taught by experienced physiotherapists.
At Upright Care, no referral is needed to get started. Patients are encouraged to bring any relevant X-rays, specialist letters, or GP letters to their appointments. The club is conveniently located inside the Meriton Suites on the corner of Grafton & Grosvenor Streets, adjacent to the Bondi Junction train station and bus terminal. Free parking is available for 2 hours in the Westfield car park, which is just across the road.
Upright Care accepts private health rebates, and while they do not bulk bill, they will send the claim to Medicare for processing the rebate. The club has a cancellation policy, and appointments not attended will be charged the full fee.
