About
Clubs. We offer a diverse range of sports and activities, catering to individuals of all ages and skill levels.
The University of Queensland Triathlon & Adventure Racing Club, also known as UQTAR, is one of these affiliated sporting clubs. It is dedicated to promoting and fostering a love for triathlon and adventure racing within the UQ community. The club provides a welcoming and supportive environment for athletes of all abilities to train, compete, and socialise.
UQTAR offers a comprehensive training programme designed to cater to the needs of both beginners and experienced triathletes. The club organises regular training sessions in swimming, cycling, and running, as well as strength and conditioning sessions. These sessions are led by qualified coaches who provide guidance and support to help members achieve their individual goals.
In addition to training, UQTAR also participates in various triathlon and adventure racing events throughout the year. The club encourages members to take part in local, national, and international competitions, providing opportunities for them to test their skills and challenge themselves.
Besides training and competition, UQTAR strongly believes in the social aspect of being part of a sports club. The club organises regular social events, such as BBQs, team dinners, and social outings, to foster camaraderie and build lasting friendships among members. These events provide a chance for members to relax, unwind, and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for triathlon and adventure racing.
UQTAR is open to both students and non-students of the University of Queensland. Whether you are an experienced triathlete looking for a supportive community or a beginner interested in trying out triathlon for the first time, UQTAR welcomes you. Joining the club provides access to training sessions, coaching, equipment, and a network of fellow athletes who will support and motivate you on your triathlon journey.
