University Flying Club

Welcome to the University Flying Club (UFC), a not-for-profit sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. With roots dating back to 1958, UFC is one of Western Australia's longest-running flying clubs. Our primary goal is to promote the sport of General Aviation in the region and provide our members with the opportunity to engage in private recreational flying.

The club is based in our Club Hangar at Jandakot Airport, just a 10-minute drive south of Perth. We are proud to own and operate an extremely well-equipped Van's RV-9A aircraft, which features the latest in modern avionics and safety technology. Flying this aircraft is truly a remarkable experience, and once you fly a Van's, you'll never want to go back to anything else. In terms of value for money, the UFC offers unbeatable bang for the buck, with affordable rates per nautical mile per hour.

At UFC, we believe in creating a strong sense of community among our members. Our club is run by a dedicated team of friendly and supportive volunteers who are committed to ensuring that every member has a rewarding aviation experience. We offer more than just flying opportunities; we also foster a social “club” atmosphere where members can connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for aviation. We frequently participate in events and attend fly-ins and gatherings with other flying and aviation clubs in Western Australia.

Membership at UFC is open to all pilots and aviation enthusiasts, and you don't need to be a university student to join. Whether you're a seasoned pilot or just beginning your aviation journey, we welcome you with open arms.
