Uniswim is an aquatics programme within the School of Sport Science Exercise and Health at The University of Western Australia.
Through the Uniswim programme, we provide a valuable community service.
Thousands of community members, aged from four to over 80, have used the facilities provided by UWA for educational, health and fitness purposes.
Uniswim began in 1981 with a few lessons and quickly grew into the large programme we have today. This programme incorporates, learn-to-swim, junior and senior coaching, and a range of adult swimming classes and recently, Uniswim has expanded to include triathlon and water polo.
We also offer opportunities for Sport Science, Exercise and Health students to gain microteaching and coaching experiences.
