UNSW Whales Underwater Rugby Club

Underwater rugby is an action-packed, 3D, weightless sport played with a water-filled ball, mask and snorkel in a swimming pool. You’ve got to hold your breath, dive down and tackle opponents to score a goal in the basket at the bottom of the pool.

Underwater rugby was invented by German divers looking for away to keep fit in winter, but has now taken over the world. The team at UNSW was the first in Australia, and we now have teams in 7 cities across the country.

We are Australia's first underwater rugby club and welcome new players to come and try this awesome sport.
