Tri Adventure

Tri Adventure is a sports club located in Sunshine Coast, specifically in the beautiful Noosa Hinterland. The club aims to provide individuals with the opportunity to explore and experience the natural wonders of the local area and other equally amazing places. Tri Adventure is dedicated to helping members maintain and improve their fitness, develop new skills, and challenge themselves in the great outdoors.

Tri Adventure was co-founded by Kim Beckinsale and Jan Leverton, both of whom have been involved in Adventure Racing and Multisport since 2003. They have extensive experience in other endurance-style events such as marathons, ironman triathlons, mountain running, cycling, and open water swimming. Their passion for adventure sport and the pristine places and experiences it offers led them to establish Tri Adventure.

Kim Beckinsale, who has been a PE teacher for over 30 years, is a Level 2 Triathlon Coach and now focuses on adventure racing and multisport coaching. Jan Leverton has been a leader in women's fitness promotion throughout her career and has created events such as 'The Wild Women Adventure Race' and 'The Hairy Mary All Women’s MTB Race'. Jan is also involved in coaching mountain biking for the popular Cycling Australia 'She Rides Programme' in Noosa.

Kim and Jan are both experienced, qualified coaches, as well as successful athletes. They hold various coaching qualifications and achievements, including diplomas in teaching health and physical education, graduate diplomas in health science education, certificates in fitness, and coaching certifications in mountain biking and triathlon. They also have extensive first aid training and experience in managing small businesses.

Not only are Kim and Jan accomplished coaches, but they have also achieved outstanding results in adventure racing and multisport events. Some of their achievements include winning the XPD Flinders Ranges in 2013, age-group winner at the Coast to Coast World Multisport Championships in 2018, X-Terra Age Group World Champion in 2013, and Age Group World Champion in triathlon and ITU Cross Triathlon.

Tri Adventure promotes a holistic approach to health and fitness, emphasising the benefits of the natural environment and a more active lifestyle. By embracing nature in its entirety, members can enjoy clean air, beautiful landscapes, and the thrill of adventure sports. Tri Adventure encourages less driving, more walking and cycling, and overall, having fun while being active outdoors.
