About
Welcome to Torquay Boardriders Club! Established in 1978, our club was formed with the goal of representing Torquay as the premier surfing centre in the state through participation in various surfing events.
Over the years, the focus of Torquay Boardriders Club has shifted, and we have become a family-based club that promotes the participation of both first and second generation surfers. We value the development of our junior surfers and offer coaching and training programmes to support their growth in the sport. Additionally, we prioritise well-managed events and actively participate in local government beach use issues and community initiatives such as promoting surfing laws and Sunsmart programmes.
While our successful competition results in individual and team events showcase our club's talent, we also devote a significant amount of effort to nurturing our junior members and engaging with the community. Since 1993, we have been proud members of the Bells Beach Management Committee.
Currently, we boast over 130 Torquay Boardriders Club members, and we are a club that is 39 years old. Although we have no potential event beaches at the moment, we are always eager to explore new opportunities.
Stay connected with us by following us on Instagram and explore our website for more information about our club, including our Code of Conduct, aggregate entry policy, new members policy, and sponsorship opportunities.
If you have any questions or inquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are excited to connect with you and continue promoting the love for surfing in Torquay - Jan Juc!
