Top End Orienteers (TEO) is the Orienteering Club of the Northern Territory, providing a range of orienteering events in and around Darwin. The club primarily holds events in bushland areas but also offers a few street events each year. Additionally, special orienteering series are held in Katherine and Alice Springs.
TEO typically runs one orienteering event each month, usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month, from February to November. Events start in the morning between 7:00 and 9:00 am and are typically finished by 11:00 am.
In addition to organised events, TEO also offers a range of DIY courses that participants can download and complete at their own convenience. These courses are available at various locations, and more information can be found on the club's website.
For those interested in participating in TEO events, online registration through Orienteering Australia (Eventor) is required prior to each event. Cash and electronic payments, including Eftpos, Paywave, major credit cards, and NFC smartphones, are accepted for payment.
TEO encourages volunteer participation to ensure the success of their events. Volunteers are needed for various roles and responsibilities, and those interested in helping out can find more information on the club's website or by contacting them directly.
