At Sydney Aquanatal®, we believe that staying fit and active during pregnancy is crucial for both the mother and baby's health and wellbeing. That's why we offer Aquanatal exercise classes specifically designed for mums during pregnancy and following birth. Our classes are led by experienced midwives who are also specially trained Aquanatal® instructors, ensuring that all exercises are safe and appropriate for every stage of pregnancy.
Our Aquanatal® classes incorporate a range of exercises and activities to cater to the unique needs of pregnant women. We focus on cardio and strengthening exercises, core and balance exercises, gentle stretching, relaxation, and birth preparation. Pelvic floor exercises and education are also an essential part of every class.
One of the unique benefits of Aquanatal® is that it is performed in water. This provides a sense of weightlessness and makes it easier to move, exercise, and relax the body, especially during the later stages of pregnancy. Research has shown that Aquanatal exercise can reduce and prevent lower back pain in pregnancy more effectively than land-based exercise.
In addition to the physical benefits, Aquanatal® is also a social event, allowing expectant and new mums to build a support network and connect with others going through similar experiences. Our classes are small and personal, with a maximum of 12 participants, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
