About

Sutherland Titans Football Club, established in 2006, is a sports club located in Sydney that caters to people with disabilities. The club's main objective is to include kids with disabilities in mainstream sport while ensuring they have a fun and enjoyable experience. Players from all areas are welcome to join, and the club currently attracts players from the Sutherland Shire and surrounding districts.

The home ground for the Sutherland Titans FC is Coachwood Oval, situated at 48 Coachwood Crescent, Alfords Point, NSW. The club is entirely run by volunteers and is currently looking for individuals to fill vacant positions on the General Committee. If you are interested in helping out, please email secretary@titansfc. com.

One of the ways to support the Sutherland Titans is by becoming a Titans Buddy in 2024. Titans Buddies play a crucial role in assisting the players during games. With only a basic knowledge of football required, buddies work on the field, helping the players kick, control the ball, and actively participate in the game. Each junior team requires two or three buddies for approximately one hour each week, and you can be rostered every week or fortnight based on your availability.

To become a Titans Buddy, you need a volunteer Working With Children (WWC) clearance, and you can contact the buddy coordinator, Bronwen, at mpio@titansfc. au for more information.

The Sutherland Titans FC recently awarded Steve Burke the honour of becoming a life member of the club. Steve has been an integral part of the Titans since 2012, initially joining as a buddy before taking on multiple positions within the club, including serving on the General Committee and coaching various teams. Even after stepping away from the committee, Steve continues to contribute by assisting with field setup and coaching whenever needed. The club expresses its utmost gratitude for his ongoing dedication and support.

Another notable achievement within the Sutherland Titans FC is the announcement of Fletcher Howse as the 2023 Titan of the Year. Fletcher has shown tremendous progress and enthusiasm throughout his time with the club, becoming an explosive forward and a supportive teammate to others. His determination and sportsmanship make Fletcher a positive influence both on and off the field.

Registrations for the 2024 season at Sutherland Titans FC are set to begin in late January 2024. Keep an eye out for updates on the club's website and social media platforms for further information.
