Sun State Roller Derby is a roller derby league based in Brisbane, Australia. Founded in 2007, we are proud to be a WFTDA Member League. We acknowledge and pay respect to the Yuggera and Turrbal people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we train.

Sun State Roller Derby is an inclusive and collaborative league that welcomes members from all walks of life. We promote excellence at every level and aim to be ambassadors for Australian roller derby. Our representative team, Swarm, is a Division 1 ranked team in the WFTDA and competes locally, interstate, and internationally.

Empowering our members is a core value of Sun State Roller Derby. We provide a safe and organised environment that fosters the health, well-being, and personal growth of our skaters. All members, including skaters, officials, and volunteers, have a voice and contribute to the running and decision-making of the league.

At Sun State Roller Derby, we celebrate diversity and focus on what unites us rather than what separates us. We create a safe and accepting environment where everyone can thrive. We play by the Rules of Flat Track Roller Derby, as published by the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Furthermore, we host the Pacific Invitational Tournament, which provides WFTDA leagues from Australia and New Zealand with the sanctioned games they need to compete in post-season tournaments. In 2020, the Pacific Invitational became the first Australian tournament to receive WFTDA recognised status.
