The Strathewen Cricket Club, aka The Cougars, finally got a home base in the season of 1986/87. That home base was originally owned by Andy & Mary O'Dea of Strathewen on Chadds Creek Rd. The land was basically donated, so an oval could be built for the cricket club as they had never had a home base of their own before.... This piece of land is now known as Strathewen Reserve, located on Chadds Creek Rd, in Strathewen.
