Our grounds are situated at the Strathalbyn Polo and Recreational Grounds, Callington Road, Strathalbyn. There is substantial grassed area’s for horse activities. There is also a 60m × 20m fenced menage and a large variety of jumping and games equipment. Our clubrooms offer riders a basic facility in which to relax and enjoy their lunch, either indoors or under the veranda.
There are ten fenced yards available for mounts.
The facilities are shared by numerous clubs, so please respect the grounds by cleaning up after yourself e. g. rubbish in the bin, help organise and pack up the grounds, help with kitchen cleanup, and clean yards after use. The Southern Zone Clubs also collectively own the Monarto Equestrian Centre and our members have obligations to support the upkeep of this facility.
One of those obligations is for the member (and or family of that member) to provide 3 hours volunteering at a Monarto working bee during the year.
Should the member not complete this requirement they will be charged $60. 00. This is the cost that is passed to our club from the Pony Club Associate of South Australia (PCASA).
