The St Georges Basin Dragons is a well established club that has been serving the children of our community for over 20 years. Over this time we have developed strong partnerships with our sponsors, Aboriginal and local communities.
The Dragons are members of and promote the GOODSPORTS message throughout our 6 year affiliation. In 2012 the club introduced the “Tough Love in League” policy endorsed by NSW Rugby League.
We have become advocates for the”No Excuse for Abuse” and " Tackiling Domestic Violence” Programmes. Through our partnership with the NSW Police Force, the NSW tops Department, YWCA, DOCS and Waninda we have been able to educate our members about this very important issue.
The St Georges Basin Dragons also have stong ties with the St George Illawarra Dragons. Through our close affiliation with the Illawarra Dragons, we have been able to educate our teenage members about the dangers of alcohol abuse through the Drink Wise Programme that is promoted by the YWCA.
