Southbrook Irish Dance Studio is a non-competitive traditional Irish dancing school offering classes in Irish Dance, Ballet (included in lessons), Singing and after school educationally based school tuition from Prep to Grade Seven. We teach students dancing from the ages of five years to adult. Singing tuition is from eight years to adult. We are passionate about providing quality dance tuition.
Students travel from all parts of South East Queensland to attend workshops and receive quality, structured tuition.
Dancing classes are held at Southbrook Hall in the rural township of Southbrook situated just off the Gore Highway 35 km outside Toowoomba. Students are placed in small classes suited to their age and ability. Private classes are available upon request. Southbrook Irish dance studio focuses on Traditional Irish Dancing and uses ballet to support this genre.
Vocal classes are also offered to students. We incorporate songs into our shows to give our audiences a well-rounded unique experience of Irish Culture.
Southbrook Irish Dance Studio is well known for their professional shows, stunning costumes and haunting music. We are one of the few schools who provide Irish costumes, hairpieces, and shoes for hire at affordable prices. We believe strongly in providing cost-effective dancing tuition without sacrificing our professional standard. Students have performed for the Royal Queensland Tattoo, Waterford Crystal Promotions Myer, USQ, Eisteddfods and many other community events.
