South West Mountain Bike Club

The South West Mountain Bike Club (SWMBC) is a vibrant and active sports club located in the Shire of Dardanup, Australia. As an association incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 and affiliated with AusCycling, the SWMBC aims to promote and support mountain biking in the Greater Bunbury region.

The club is situated in the picturesque Ferguson Valley, just a short drive from Bunbury. The home trails of the SWMBC are the Mount Lennard – Pile Road network located within the Wellington National Park. These trails offer a diverse range of options suitable for riders of all levels, from beginners looking to take their first ride to experts seeking exhilarating challenges on pedal power.

Run by passionate volunteers who have a deep love for cycling, the SWMBC is always welcoming new members and helpers. Maintaining a network of 40 kilometres of trails requires the support of many hands, and the club values the contributions of both riders and non-riding members. Whether you're visiting the area and want to join in for a single ride or looking to become a lifelong member and forge lasting friendships, the SWMBC offers a warm and inclusive community.

The highlight of the SWMBC is the Mount Lennard/Pile Road trail network. Spanning more than 30 kilometres, these trails have been formally adopted by the club. The network is renowned for its Western Australia's challenging pea gravel, adding a thrilling element for even the most experienced riders. Beginners are encouraged to start at the lower section of Boylans/Grizzly to familiarise themselves with the unique terrain before venturing further into the network.

With ongoing government investment in trail towns, Mount Lennard/Pile Road trail network is set to expand further. This provides exciting prospects for the SWMBC and its members. To navigate the trails effectively, riders are encouraged to use the Trailforks app or map while sticking to the signposted trails. This ensures a safe and enjoyable riding experience.
