The South West Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Association Inc - Capel, located in the Shire of Capel, is a sports club dedicated to the practise and promotion of Goju-Ryu Karate-Do.
Members of the association can train with confidence, knowing that all coaches are accredited with the Australian Coaching Council and have obtained police and working with children clearances. This ensures the utmost safety and professionalism in all training sessions.
The South West Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Association Inc is proud to be affiliated with the Australian Karate Federation Inc (AKF), a government-recognised and funded organisation at both the state and national levels. Through this affiliation, the association is recognised by the Ministry of Sport and Recreation and is a member of the International Olympic Federation, as well as a member of the WA Sports Federation.
Being affiliated with the International Karate Organisation in Japan, the South West Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Association Inc provides members with the opportunity to be a part of a global karate network. All students' karate grades are recognised worldwide under the World Karate Federation (WKF), of which the Australian Karate Federation is an affiliated organisation.
In addition to these affiliations, the South West Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Association Inc has access to state and national coaches from the AKF and Institute of Sport facilities, providing members with high-quality training opportunities.
The association's aims and objectives include promoting proper, healthy, and lawful practise of Karate-Do while repressing all abuses of the discipline. They also strive to prevent discrimination of any kind among practitioners based on race, religion, gender, physical ability, or political affiliation.
Furthermore, the South West Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Association Inc actively encourages community participation and cooperation, welcoming non-association karate practitioners to join as associate members and enjoy the benefits provided by the association. The association aims to provide an interesting, active, and healthy pursuit for all participants.
