Illabarook Football Netball Club (IFNC) was formed in 1925. In 2013 it was decided to change the name to the Smythesdale FNC because the Club has been playing from the Smythesdale Recreational Reserve since 1999.
Illabarook competed in the Lexton Plains FL from 1999 until 2010 when the league dissolved. Illabarook then Joined the Central Highland Football League.
