Singleton Junior Rugby League Football Club began as its own entity in 1978 after a long and successful association with the PCYC that began in 1966, with the junior game having its origins in Singleton as far back as 1953.
In 2011, a record 330 players filled 24 teams that participated in 3 different competitions throughout Group 21, Maitland Schoolboys and Newcastle Hunter Valley competitions making Singleton Junior Rugby League one of the largest clubs in the Hunter Region.
Junior Rugby League has been played in our district since 1953 with the formation of a local competition involving four teams Wanderers, Kiwis, Panthers, and Hunters in two weight divisions.
Singleton teams are involved in three different competitions under three different administrations.
